Our Work: Director Greg's Noodle Bar
There've been some truly epic tales captured over the course of human history. Some of them, like The Iliad, The Odyssey, and The Aeneid, are well known and have been passed down from generation to generation. Others, well let's just say they never caught on like those did. The story of Director Greg falls into the latter category.
Who's Director Greg? The short answer is he's the overlord of a vast noodle empire, and by empire we mean a single, three-station noodle bar located on the campus of Lawrence University. But it's a really nice three-station noodle bar.
We had the pleasure of helping Director Greg, and his partners Julie Severance and Mark Biesack of Café Bon Appétit, develop a brand identity for the Director's expanding noodle enterprise, along with a promotional strategy that involved social media, on-campus signage and guerilla-style random noodle deliveries. Director Greg himself is shrouded in myth and rumor. So as you can imagine, we never actually worked with him directly. In fact, all correspondence had to be sealed in padded manila envelopes, then buried behind a particular shrub located outside the rear entrance of the Warch Campus Center. Sounds strange, but it really helped cut down on excessive emails. Well played, Director.
There are only two things we know for sure after working on this project. First, we had a blast working with the Café Bon Appétit team. Second, everything's better with noodles. Seriously. Everything.
